Songwriter Summits

Original compositions on a global stage.

Each year, we highlight musicians we work with at international music festivals. Bringing together 6-10 artists from different backgrounds, genres and countries, we host our Songwriter Summits at one of various locations: intense, week-long songwriting camps where strangers come together to create new music.

These songs are created, recorded and performed to a global audience at international songwriting festivals.

Note:  Due to COVID-19, all House of Songs regular programming is suspended until further notice. If you are a musician in Northwest Arkansas or Austin, TX, please explore our digital songwriting options.

The House of Songs brought six outstanding musicians and songwriters to Bentonville, AR for the 2019 Songwriter Summit with the goal to write, record, perform, and explore in preparation for their time at AmericanaFest in Nashville. The Artists consisted of Elles Bailey (UK), Dylan Earl (NWA), Jonathan Terrell (ATX), Jamie Freeman (UK), Brandy Zdan (CA), and Judy Blank (NE).

The Americana Music Festival & Conference is a music festival and music industry conference that takes place every year (usually in September).

The first was held in 2000. It has since grown into a five-day multi-venue production. It is run by the Americana Music Association which is a professional not-for-profit trade organization whose mission is to promote awareness, provide a forum, and advocate for the creative and economic vitality of the Americana music genre.

The group wrote 20 new Songs while at The House of Songs which were inspired by their shared stories of the road, the music industry, lost love and diversity and inclusion in the Country Music genre.

The House also invited local guest Songwriters, which included Dana LouiseCorey PostThe Allie Lauren Project, and Aaron Smith to co-write with the Artists during the Summit, which ended in beautiful creations and new friendships.
