At Home with The House of Songs: "Let The Day In" with Dean Owens and Oscar Mukherjee

Today’s installment of At Home with The House of Songs takes us back to a simpler time, two months ago.  We held a Songwriter Summit at our house in Northwest Arkansas back in January, where we had 7 artists from around the world living and writing songs together. The group combined to write 24 songs in 3 days, before showcasing them live in NWA, New Orleans, and London.  Before departing Arkansas, they went into Crisp Recording Studio in Fayetteville and recorded the new material. Today we would like to present one of those songs. Let The Day In was written and performed by Scotland’s Dean Owens and Denmark’s Oscar Mukerjee.  This was their first collaboration, and it serves as a reminder to appreciate each day.  It touches on the fact that we are all human, dealing with life’s obstacles, yet it offers hope that the sun will continue to rise.  We couldn’t think of a more fitting tune for the strange times that we all currently find ourselves in. Take three minutes, take a listen and exhale.

Later this week we will feature Dean’s live stream concert (on March 27th) to support his brand new album, as he was supposed to be in the middle of his album release tour throughout Europe, which has now been completely canceled.  If you like what you hear PLEASE support Dean, Oscar, and all of our fellow musicians in this uncertain time by making donations to artists or purchasing music and/or merchandise at the links below.
