Today, At Home with The House of Songs features the one and only BettySoo. Wildly acclaimed by her peers and fans alike, she has toured the world as a solo artist, and currently is one third of power trio - Nobody's Girl. Betty has been a frequent collaborator with visiting international guest artists in residence since the early days of The House of Songs in Austin. She was also a participant in our 2017 Austin Songwriter Summit.
In response to the state of live performance, she has moved her Tuesday “Nobody’s Happy Hour” Residency at Captain Quackenbush's Coffeehouse to a live stream format, where she still has a weekly guests, songs are swapped, and a wheel of song challenges is spun to spice up the format.
This week will be a little different, and serve as a reschedule of her annual Girls Who Do Boys Who Do Girls show to benefit The SIMS Foundation. This show will feature nearly 20 Austin artists playing songs by other Austin artists. The RSVP link below will grant you access for a suggested donation, which will still be donated to SIMS, which helps provide mental healthcare to the Austin Music Community. On usual weeks, these show donations give 20% to Capt. Quacks staff, and an additional cut to the guest artists. Betty exemplifies the “we are all in this together” spirit and is a valued friend to The House of Songs and the community as a whole.
